Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American political advisor, served as the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021-2022. As a part of the Democratic Party, she previously served in the Obama administration as the White House deputy press secretary (2009) as well as the White House deputy communications director (2009-2011) and the spokesperson of the United States Department of State (2013-2015); and the White House communications director (2015-2017. Psaki was a contributor to political campaigns to CNN from 2017 to 2020. Psaki started her career as an Iowa Democratic senator, Tom Harkin, and later became governor of Iowa. Psaki became John Kerry's press secretary deputy in 2004. From 2005 until the year 2006, Psaki served as communications director to U.S. representative Joseph Crowley and regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. In 2012, Psaki returned to political communications, serving as press secretary to the Obama reelection campaign in 2012. [20] Psaki was appointed spokesperson for the United States Department of State on February 11 13. [20] Her hiring in the Department of State fueled speculation that she could replace White House Press Secretary Jay Carney when he left the White House,[21] but, on May 30 in 2014 it was announced that Josh Earnest would replace Carney. She returned to White House in 2015 to be the director of communications. She was with the Obama administration until its conclusion.
