Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn, born on August 19 1965 is an American actress. She also works as a producer and director. Her starring role on TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most popular. In her role as Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. The seventh season of the series ended on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) and What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). She was also in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was an New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) was an educator and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI as the venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was an Episcopalian. She was also of English heritage. Sedgwick says she is Jewish and claims she goes to Passover seders.
